New Champion Compared To Bianca Belair Regarding Future In WWE

A rising WWE star has been compared to Bianca Belair in terms of athleticism and ability to relate to the crowd.

When Bianca Belair signed with WWE in 2016 as a former track and field athlete, she was considered to have the potential to be one of the best women’s wrestlers in company history.

Nearly a decade later, Bianca Belair is a three-time WWE Women’s Champion, a two-time Women’s Tag Team Champion, and a WrestleMania main eventer, who has absolutely lived up to the hype and exceeded the expectations that many people had for her.

Unfortunately for Bianca Belair, she has been out of action for the past six months after sustaining broken fingers during her outstanding match at WrestleMania 41 with Iyo Sky and Rhea Ripley. It’s an injury where WWE didn’t believe Belair would be out for this long, yet that’s what has happened.

Kendal Grey Has Bianca Belair-Like Potential In WWE

The name of Bianca Belair was also mentioned by Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, who compared the new Evolve Women’s Champion, Kendal Grey, to Belair in terms of her potential as a WWE superstar.

Kendal Grey is a former amateur wrestler who was signed by WWE’s NIL program in 2023 and debuted on television a year later. While writing about Grey winning the Evolve Women’s Championship from Kali Armstrong, Meltzer praised both women (with a four-star match rating) and specifically compared Grey to Bianca Belair.

“Kendal Grey won the Evolve women’s title on the Succession special on 10/15. It was taped from sometime back. Grey has it, at least in the ring as an impressive athlete and in connecting with the fans. She won the title from Kali Armstrong and they had a legit **** match with the crowd super into it.

Both are superior level athletes as compared to all but a few women in wrestling right now, but Grey has natural babyface charisma.

I don’t think I’ve seen a woman wrestler in the WWE system have so much potential from the start except for maybe Bianca Belair. They know it because they pushed her hard in the Battle Royal on NXT this week and the crowd was heavily into her there as well, in fact the crowd was madder at her elimination than anyone else in the match.”

As for Bianca Belair’s WWE future, her husband Montez Ford believes that fans wouldn’t turn on her if she became a heel.
