Neither CM Punk Nor Jey Uso Expected To Win WWE World Title

CM Punk and Jey Uso are set to fight for the World Heavyweight Championship at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event.

The World Heavyweight Championship was recently vacated after Seth Rollins suffered a shoulder injury that would keep him on the shelf for a significant time.

While CM Punk had already secured a shot at the title by winning a Triple Threat number-one contender’s match against Jey Uso and LA Knight, the leader of the Yeet movement has also earned another chance to recapture the championship after winning a Battle Royal last Monday on RAW.

The Second City Saint and the former Bloodline member will now go head-to-head for the first time in their legendary careers in the Stamford-based company.

Ex-WWE Star Thinks Neither CM Punk Nor Jey Uso Will Become World Champion This Saturday

During a recent episode of the Busted Open podcast, former WWE Superstar Nic Nemeth (aka Dolph Ziggler) discussed the upcoming clash between CM Punk and Jey Uso with his co-host, WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray.

The Showoff predicted The Vision might interfere in the World Heavyweight Championship match, resulting in neither Punk nor Jey winning the title.

Bully Ray: Okay, hypothetical, The Vison does not get involved in the match between CM Punk and Jey Uso. Are they putting htat championship on one of thos guys right now?

Nic Nemeth: I don’t think so. Isn’t that weird? I don’t think either one of those guys are gonna have it. I don’t know. Punk doesn’t need it. Jey doesn’t need it. But to have it, cool. It’s great. To freaking be world champion is one of the coolest damn things ever noo matter where you are or what you’ve done, period. But to be so beloved by a crowd one way or another to not need it is the greatest attribute in pro wrestling history.

So, I don’t know that either. That’s why I really wanted somebody else. Only because they don’t need it. They’ve transcended being a world champ. But world champ is a big bada** thing. And you could set in and lock, and, you know, sink your teeth into it and make it big. The reason I keep agreeing with you on there no being a finish or a weird one is because the two people fighting for it are above world champion. [5:50 onwards]
