Naomi Announces Pregnancy On WWE RAW, Vacates Women’s World Championship
Naomi relinquished the Women’s World Championship on WWE RAW tonight after announcing her pregnancy.
The Glow has been on the run of her life over the past few months, following her heel turn. After winning the Money in the Bank briefcase, she cashed in during Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY’s Women’s World Championship match at Evolution to leave the premium live event with the title.
At SummerSlam, the 37-year-old successfully defended her title against The Eradicator and The Genius of the Sky in a Triple Threat match. While she was scheduled to wrestle the Japanese star again last Monday on RAW, the title bout was canceled a few hours before the show.
In WWE’s statement, posted on social media, the company clarified that Naomi was not cleared to compete, without providing any specific details about her situation.
Naomi Announced Her Pregnancy On WWE RAW
After a few days of speculation, it was announced on SmackDown last Friday that Naomi would address the WWE Universe on Monday Night RAW.
Tonight on the red brand, Naomi asked the fans to look at the titantron, where a clip from Stephanie McMahon’s podcast revealed Jimmy Uso announcing that his wife was pregnant. She then refused to give her title to RAW GM Adam Pearce, throwing him out of the ring.

The Glow cut a promo, telling the women’s locker room that they should be thankful for Big Jim. The 37-year-old then left her title in the ring, promising to return to pick up where she left off, advising whoever would hold the title to proceed with caution.
Naomi recently opened up about her desire to have kids during an interview with Stephanie McMahon on The Billion Dollar Princess’ What’s Your Story? With Steph McMahon podcast. She disclosed that she feels she can now take a break to have a baby with how the company currently treats female superstars.
She inspires me, especially now, Becky. But see the women, I always felt like I had this time crunch on me, but now the women are showing, and I really feel like if I wanted to stop and go have a baby, we can do it. They’re doing it so gracefully. Beautifully. And it is hard. It’s not easy. I see the lows, but they get through it, and they’re better for it, and they’re inspiring so many women. And I think that’s just incredible, because 16 years ago, you didn’t feel like you could do that. [H/T: Ringside News]
The couple are set to appear in another special edition of Stephanie McMahon’s podcast after RAW, where they will speak more about Naomi’s announcement.
We at TJR Wrestling would like to extend our congratulations to WWE Superstars Naomi and Jimmy Uso.
