More WWE Returns Expected
It’s believed that further names might be coming back to WWE in the coming weeks as Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque resets the company’s roster.
Paul Levesque has readded several names to the main Raw and SmackDown rosters since taking control of WWE’s creative direction, including Johnny Gargano, Braun Strowman, and Karrion Kross. More may be on their way, though.
Dave Meltzer wrote in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter that WWE was planning on an undisclosed number of returns, though these won’t be names already in the conversation to potentially come back.
Presumably, this would eliminate certain names from contention. Fans are heavily expecting Bray Wyatt back in WWE, with his name being brought up internally as well. Candice LeRae is also a favourite to come back, with her and Johnny Gargano’s son now a few months old – if she is to return, it likely won’t be any time soon.
As far as who could make a sensational comeback, no major names immediately spring to mind. The majority of the major stars released from WWE have either already returned or have since gone on to work elsewhere. Malakai Black, the former Aleister Black, could be an option, but the reported conditions within his AEW release may prohibit this for a while longer.
