More Integrity In WWE Now Vince McMahon Is Gone

Vince McMahon

Vince McMahon was ousted from power in WWE and now Bret Hart has explained why he’s glad McMahon’s “corrupted thinking” is gone.

Vince McMahon was told to resign as TKO Executive Chairman after a lawsuit was filed accusing McMahon of serious sexual abuse and sex trafficking. That brought an end to McMahon’s four decades of control over the company.

One man who knows all too well about that control is former WWE Champion Bret Hart and it’s safe to say The Hitman isn’t too sorry McMahon is gone.

Bret Hart Says Vince McMahon Ran WWE In A Shady Way

Appearing on The Ariel Helwani Show, Bret Hart was asked if he thought there was ever a time Vince McMahon wouldn’t run WWE and shared his thoughts on McMahon’s overall approach to the wrestling business:

No. I feel that, as great as he was as far as ideas and imagination…in a lot of ways there is nobody like him. At the same time, I feel that he kind of governed things in a shady way. He didn’t care necessarily about the craft. I always thought about what he did to me.

I like to think that I was his greatest artist and in the end I was just another [wipes hands] ‘get rid of him. He’s done.’ As much greatness as Vince brought to wrestling, he always brought a lot of negative and corrupted thinking to it. It’s kind of hard to explain, but there is a little more integrity right now and the guys being pushed are being pushed because they’re talented and not because they are Vince’s favorites.

Bret Hart has explained how proud he was to punch Vince McMahon in the mouth after their infamous run-in following the Montreal Screwjob in 1997.
