MJF Teases Forming Tag Team With Massive Hollywood Star
MJF’s recent troubles with The Hurt Syndicate might have a silver lining.
Tensions between the stablemates began when Maxwell disapproved of the Syndicate’s association with Adam Copeland on the July 23 Dynamite episode.
Bobby Lashley expressed his frustration and voted for MJF to be booted out of the faction.
On the July 30 episode, Shelton Benjamin echoed Lashley’s sentiments in a backstage segment, calling out Maxwell’s insincerity and even returning his ‘fake’ watch.
The Hurt Syndicate strictly operates on a business-first policy, which does not align with MJF’s values, and that has been the major reason behind the ongoing friction.
AEW World Tag Team Champion @Sheltyb803 made it very clear where MJF stands with The Hurt Syndicate. 👎 👎

MJF Teases Tag Teaming With A Huge Hollywood Star
MJF is all but out of The Hurt Syndicate, with Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin giving him the thumbs down.
The 29-year-old has no affiliations with any wrestlers to form a reliable tag team.
While all these events continue to unfold, Maxwell also stars in the recent Hollywood movie Happy Gilmore 2.
The movie, starring Adam Sandler, is a sequel to the 1996 movie Happy Gilmore.
During a recent interview with Coffee Chats, he shared his admiration for the 58-year-old Hollywood star.
When asked if fans might see Sandler in the AEW ring, Maxwell discussed a potential team-up with Sandler, playfully naming the pair The Gilmore Boys.
Now we’re talking. Okay, now we’re talking. Cuz we’re going back to Wembley in 2026. So, I’m telling you right now, the Gilmore boys might show up and win the tag titles. Wouldn’t shock me and it shouldn’t shock you. [H/T: Ringside News]
Meanwhile, as a singles competitor, Maxwell has a guaranteed shot at the AEW Championship, a right he earned by winning the Casino Gauntlet match at AEW All In: Texas.
