MJF Set For Surprising AEW Full Gear Match
MJF will be in action at AEW Full Gear, much to his chagrin, but it won’t be in the match that most people expected to see.
MJF wants nothing to do with Adam Cole after Cole betrayed him at Worlds End in late 2023 costing him the AEW World Title in the process. However, Adam Cole wants MJF in the ring but the former AEW World Champion loves a way out of trouble and he told Cole and Roderick Strong that whoever can win three matches in a row can meet him at Full Gear.
That journey for Cole began on Dynamite in Cleveland, Ohio as he faced The House of Black’s Buddy Matthews in his first match in 13 months. Cole’s injury came into play as at one point the AEW doctor wanted to call the match off but Adam Cole persevered and eventually picked up the win.
On the 6th of November edition of Dynamite, Cole’s winning ways continued as he defeated Malakai Black leaving him one win away from facing MJF. Cole also broke the news to MJF that after consulting Tony Khan if he and Roderick Strong can both win three bouts in a row then they will both get MJF in a three-way match.
Adam Cole Won’t Face MJF At Full Gear
Strong had picked up two wins in a row on Collision against Shane Taylor and The Beast Mortos and on Dynamite in Bridgeport, Roderick Strong booked his place against MJF as he defeated Lance Archer in a falls count anywhere match.
MJF had paid off The Don Callis Family to take out Adam Cole and that plan paid off as Konosuke Takeshita used MJF’s Dynamite Diamond ring to knock out Cole and defeat him, thereby stopping Cole from entering the Full Gear match with the former AEW World Champion. That means at Full Gear, it will be Roderick Strong vs. MJF and Adam Cole will have to wait to get his hands on the man he used to hold the ROH Tag Team Championship with.
