MJF Sends Warning To Adam Copeland

MJF

MJF had a very simple message for Adam Copeland after the Rated R Superstar joined AEW.

Adam Copeland made his shock AEW debut at the end of WrestleDream in Seattle as he rescued Sting and Darby Allin from a beating orchestrated by his old friend Christian Cage.

Cage had retained his TNT Title against Allin after Nick Wayne turned on Allin and slammed the TNT Title belt into his face. As they continued the assault after the match, Sting came to make the save but was stopped by Luchasaurus. With Christian Cage about to perpetrate a wicked con-chair-to on The Icon, Adam Copeland appeared to a raucous reception.

Copeland took the chair from Cage before turning it on Luchasaurus and Wayne as the greasy TNT Champion made his exit.

What did MJF make of Adam Copeland becoming All Elite?

Speaking at the post-show press conference, AEW World Champion MJF was asked about Copeland joining the company and although he had good things to say about the man once known as Edge, he also gave him a warning:

“I think he’s another guy coming into my company that wants my spot and I think he’s got another f*cking thing coming if he’s gonna take it. Great signing though, good job Tony [Khan], I’m proud of you. But in all sincerity, first ballot Hall of Famer, incredible professional wrestler.”

MJF continued with his unusual praise by showering it on the roster that he believes is one of the best ever put together in the history of the business:

“I don’t care I’m just gonna say it, I think right now bell to bell we have one of the best professional wrestling rosters ever in the history of the sport, it’s f*cking insane. Holy sh*t, MJF, Chris Jericho, Kenny Omega, Jon Moxley, Will Ospreay – when he’s around the schmuck, Darby Allin, Christian Cage, Adam Copeland, Malakai Black, Miro, Will Hobbs, Ricky Starks, Claudio Castagnoli, Eddie Kingston and I’m not even naming – it’s messed up. Like I said, I couldn’t be prouder to be at the top of the mountain when you have a roster like this.”

MJF was in action at WrestleDream as he single-handedly kept the ROH Tag Team Championship around the waists of Better Than You Bay-Bay against The Righteous.
