MJF Addresses What He’s Looking For From Future AEW & WWE Contract Offers
The AEW World Champion MJF has let the world know what he’s looking for from his next wrestling contract.
If you watch AEW programming regularly then you know that the current AEW World Heavyweight Champion Maxwell Jacob Friedman (MJF) has openly discussed the “bidding war of 2024” referring to his own contract status.
According to MJF, he will be a free agent on January 1st, 2024. It’s always possible that MJF may have already re-signed with AEW and just doesn’t want to reveal it publicly, but if not then he would be a free agent to start next year, which is just over four months away.
During an appearance on the popular YouTube show Hot Ones Truth or Dab, MJF was on the show with his “best friend” Adam Cole. While on the show, MJF made it clear he wants his next contract to be at least seven figures meaning in the millions.
“January 1, 2024. They better back up the goddamn Brinks truck, okay pal?”
“Realistically, I know there’s a lot of money that’s going to be thrown my way from both sides. I’m not accepting anything under seven figures, I won’t even make eye contact with a contract that’s under seven figures.”
MJF Will Be Wrestling Twice At AEW All In
At AEW All In this Sunday at Wembley Stadium in front of 80,000+ fans, MJF will wrestle twice. On the Zero Hour pre-show, MJF will tag up with Adam Cole against Aussie Open for the Ring of Honor Tag Team Titles. On Dynamite last night, MJF & Cole cleared the ring of Aussie Open with hopes of taking the titles from them on Sunday night.
Also in the main event of AEW All In, MJF will defend the AEW World Championship against Adam Cole. It’s a match that AEW CEO Tony Khan calls the most important match in the history of the company.
