MJF Fires The Firm
MJF told The Firm to leave Jon Moxley alone and when they didn’t listen the number one contender for the AEW Title found himself on the wrong side of the group.
The Firm was instrumental in MJF winning the Casino Ladder Match at All Out when they attacked the rest of the competitors allowing Stokely Hathaway to retrieve the chip and simply hand it to Maxwell Jacob Friedman but now that partnership looks to be done following Dynamite in Norfolk, Virginia.
Earlier in the night, MJF was being interviewed by Renee Paquette when he discussed potentially facing Jon Moxley in the main event of Full Gear for the AEW World Championship. During his mic time, The Salt of the Earth promised not to use his Dynamite Diamond ring and stressed the importance of Moxley being at one hundred percent for their bout.
This brought Stokely Hathaway of The Firm out to say that his group will leave Moxley alone with more than a suggestion of bare-faced lying about him. MJF quickly cut Hathaway off and told him if The Firm laid a hand on Jon Moxley that he would fire the group.
Following the main event of the show which saw Moxley defend his AEW Title against Penta El Zero Miedo, Stokely Hathaway proved himself to be a liar as he led The Firm in a beatdown of Moxley with the Blackpool Combat Club trapped in their locker room.
MJF came to the ring to call off the dogs and followed through on his promise as he fired Hathaway and then The Firm attacked him as well. More importantly, it looks like this means that AEW could well be leaning into the positive crowd reactions MJF is receiving which could see him start to walk out of the other entrance tunnel in the near future.
