MJF Defending AEW Title In First-Time Ever Match
MJF is the new AEW International Champion and now he’s being forced to live up to that title’s name.
The 250th edition of AEW Dynamite kicked off with a match worthy of a pay-per-view main event as Will Ospreay put his AEW International Championship on the line against MJF. While many expected that match to take place at All In, it seems Tony Khan has a plan for his current AEW booking that saw Dynamite stacked with huge matches.
Ospreay and MJF tangled for close to an hour in an epic contest before the former AEW World Champion resorted to his tried and trusted tricks.
As the one-hour time limit neared its end which would have meant a draw and Will Ospreay retaining his title but following the referee being taken out, MJF used his Dynamite Diamond ring to clock the champion and pick up the pinfall victory with just two seconds left on the clock to become the new AEW International Champion. And now it seems, the champion is living up to the title’s name.
MJF Heading To Mexico With AEW Title
CMLL has now announced on social media that MJF will be a part of their show at Arena Mexico on August 2nd where he will defend his title. CMLL and AEW have had a working relationship in recent months but this will be the first time MJF ever competes on one of the Mexican promotion’s shows.
