MJF invoked the name of The Rock when launching insults at Ricky Starks on AEW Dynamite!

On November 23rd, Ricky Starks defeated Ethan Page in the finals of the AEW World Championship Eliminator Tournament, earning himself a chance to face the newly-crowned MJF for his coveted title.

The December 7th edition of AEW Dynamite saw Ricky Starks win the Dynamite Dozen Battle Royal, eliminating Ethan Page in the final moments of the bout. His victory celebration was short-lived, however, as the AEW World Champion came out to confront him after the match.

After claiming that Bryan Danielson was scared to show up after what he did to William Regal, MJF moved his attention to next week’s Winter is Coming episode, saying that he will become a four time Dynamite Diamond Ring winner, and that he will still be holder of the grandest prize of them all, the AEW Title he named the Big Burberry Belt.

MJF then turned his attention to Ricky Starks specifically, saying:

“Now Richard, these people seem to really like you around here, huh? You know Ricky, they talk about you like you’re some underutilized god of professional wrestling, and trust me, you are very talented, you really are. But you wanna know the truth, bud? Here’s the truth, Absolute. The truth is, in comparison to me, you’re the ‘absolute’ drizzling sh*ts.

“Or should I say, you’re a roody poo candy ass, considering the fact that you’ve stolen literally else from that guy, because no offense Richard, you ain’t nothing more than a Dollar Store Dwayne. So you know what I’m gonna start calling you, bud? I’m gonna start calling you The Pebble, ok?

“And here’s what’s gonna happen next week in Dynamite, little pebble. I’ma put you in my pocket. I’m gonna hop in my brand new Taycan GTS Porsche, ’cause unlike all these simple minded humanoids I’m actually rich, and not a complete loser. I’ma drive you to the nearest body of water, I’ma take you out of my pocket, pebble, and I am going to skip your scrawny little pigeon-toed ass all the way back to Billy Corgan’s NWA, so you can wrestle on YouTube where you belong!”

MJF also told the Texas crowd that facts don’t care about their feelings.

Elsewhere on the show, William Regal, who was attacked by MJF last week, explained his reasoning for turning on Blackpool Combat Club member Jon Moxley at AEW All Out and alluded to the fact that he would be leaving AEW, a fact that Tony Khan confirmed in a press conference.
