Missing AEW Tag Team Finally Cleared After 1 Year Out

One AEW tag team could be set for a return very soon, one year after they last teamed up in the ring.

The last time AEW fans saw The WorkHorsemen – Anthony Henry and JD Drake – together was all the way back on the May 30 2024, edition of Collision, where they lost to Daniel Garcia and Katsuyori Shibata. A broken jaw led to the team being pulled from the AEW Tag Team Title tournament.

Worse was to come for Henry later in the year when he tore his left bicep off the bone. Drake had continued in singles competition, but he was also put out of action in November 2024. But now, they’re ready to put the work in once again.

The WorkHorsemen Returning To AEW

Taking to social media, Anthony Henry confirmed that now both he and JD Drake are cleared to return, suggesting a WorkHorsemen reunion is near:

It’s been a long year, but the workhorsemen are both 100% officially cleared to return to the ring. Let us rejoice! #workhorsemen

Although their matches in AEW have been limited, The WorkHorsemen were featured regularly in Tony Khan’s other promotion, Ring of Honor. Henry’s last match before his bicep injury was a loss on ROH against Gabe Kidd, while JD Drake’s final outing before his injury was when he teamed with BEEF in a loss to The Righteous.
