Miro Finally Spotted Amid AEW Absence
Miro could be closing in on a return to the ring.
Miro hasn’t wrestled since defeating Andrade El Idolo at AEW Worlds End on December 30th, 2023. The match was Andrade’s last for the company before returning to WWE.
Prior to that, the star had only wrestled six times in 2023 after missing much of the year initially through injury.
Back in April, Miro revealed he’s been struggling with shoulder and elbow injuries sustained towards the end of 2023, however, he said he was rehabbing and working on a return. Unfortunately, this was followed by a report claiming Miro was “behind schedule” in his recovery.
During his absence, the former WWE star’s now-ex-wife CJ Perry revealed the couple had separated. Perry later left AEW but has yet to return to wrestling.
Miro Is Back In The United States
Despite the setbacks, it’s now been reported by Mike Johnson of PWInsider that the former TNT Champion is back in the United States after a lengthy spell in Bulgaria. The star was spotted in Los Angeles during All In weekend.
Although this appears to be a move closer to an in-ring return, there remains no word on when he’ll wrestle again.
While he remains under contract with AEW, it’s long been believed that the star formerly known as Rusev will return to WWE when his deal expires.
