Mina Shirakawa Breaks Silence On AEW Future

Mina Shirakawa

After several reports on her future, Japanese star Mina Shirakawa has confirmed what her next move will be in the wrestling business.

According to one report, Mina Shirakawa informed Stardom at the end of 2024 that she’d be leaving the promotion. Shirakawa competed eleven times in AEW in 2024 and was part of the joint Wrestle Dynasty show in the Tokyo Dome in January 2025. That show saw Mercedes Mone defeat Shirakawa to win the RevPro Undisputed British Women’s Championship.

Mina Shirakawa is the former partner of Mariah May and their partnership was played up in AEW as part of May’s feud with Toni Storm. But in an increasingly competitive market for free agents in the pro wrestling business, nothing was certain about where Shirakawa could end up after Stardom, until now.

Mina Shirakawa Confirms AEW Future

Taking to social media, Mina Shirakawa has now had her own say on her future confirming that she will leave Stardom in March 2025 and will be heading straight to AEW:

Shirakawa Mina: “I, Shirakawa Mina, will be leaving Stardom in March 2025. It is only thanks to the fans who have always believed in me and supported me that I have been able to continue to pursue my dreams and pursue my career as a professional wrestler. Thank you so much. As for the future, I, Shirakawa Mina, will be joining AEW.” (translation via Google)

While Shirakawa is on her way into Tony Khan’s company, Mariah May could be on her way out of AEW with reports suggesting she has not signed a new deal.
