Mercedes Mone Wants All-Women’s Show In AEW
Mercedes Mone has explained why she believes AEW is more than capable of holding its own all-female show.
When she was known as Sasha Banks, Mercedes Mone was an integral part of the women’s evolution in WWE. The current TBS Champion was part of the all-female Evolution premium live event in October 2018 where she teamed with Bayley and Natalya to defeat The Riott Squad’s Ruby Riott, Liv Morgan, and Sarah Logan.
Now Mone is a key part of the women’s division in AEW and she believes the female stars of the company could easily stand on their own if needed.
AEW Has The Best Women’s Wrestlers Says Mercedes Mone
Speaking on the Battleground podcast, Mercedes Mone discussed the possibility of an all-female show in AEW and thinks the company has the talent to pull it off every week:
Wow, a weekly show, absolutely. We have the talent, so why not? All Elite Women’s Wrestling? There you go. We have the best women’s wrestling. From Willow, Mariah May, Toni Storm, Serena Deeb, Kris Statlander, Kamille—there’s definitely an opportunity to have an all-women’s show every single week, so I don’t see why not.
Mone was then asked why she believed AEW could host an all-women pay-per-view in the same vein as WWE Evolution:
Because we have the best women’s wrestlers. We have a roster full of talent and a long list of women that could make an all-women’s pay-per-view possible. I think it’s just a matter of giving the chance and opportunity. If Tony [Khan] sees that, I don’t see why we couldn’t have a women’s revolution here in AEW. It’s already happening; the women have been killing it every single week. I think an all-women’s pay-per-view here would be incredible.
Mercedes Mone has been issued a stern challenge for her TBS Title at Full Gear on November 23rd as a former champion looks to reclaim the gold.
