Mercedes Mone Says She’s Being Paid What She Deserves

Mercedes Mone

Mercedes Mone feels like she is fairly paid by All Elite Wrestling.

Since joining All Elite Wrestling in early 2024, all Mercedes Mone has done is win championships and matches. Mone holds AEW’s TBS Title along with the NJPW Strong Women’s Title simultaneously.

When the news of Mone signing with AEW took place, there were also reports that the former Sasha Banks in WWE was the highest-paid woman in pro wrestling.

During her decade-long run as Sasha Banks in WWE, Mone was often featured in main event level matches while having a lot of success as a heel or face. That success has continued in AEW as well where Mone started as a face, but turned into the heel because fans were getting sick of her as a character.

Mercedes Mone Address AEW Contract Rumors

While speaking to The Breakfast Club, Mercedes Mone admitted she didn’t know what other women were making, but she is happy and getting what she deserves.

“I hope so. I would like to think so. I don’t know other people’s bank accounts, but I like that title.”

“I definitely want to make more money. I am [getting what I deserve]. I don’t even want to say it’s crazy, it’s just beautifully deserved and earned, and it’s something that I worked so hard for for such a long time, and it’s something that I want women to work for. I finally got something that, as women, we’re like no, you can’t even see those numbers, you can’t even talk about those numbers. You can’t even walk into the room and even ask for a raise or ask for a bonus or anything.”

“So to get what I feel like I deserve, plus I feel like I deserve so much more, and I’m going to get that, it’s so amazing. I think that gives people a chance to dream more, that they can make more too if they put in the hard work.”

As for her WWE departure, Mercedes Mone recently opened up about how her issues with Vince McMahon played a big part in that.
