Mercedes Mone Facing Ex-WWE Star At Indy Show
Mercedes Mone has a huge indy wrestling match against a woman who used to work for WWE just like Mone.
It has been one year since Mercedes Mone made her AEW debut during a special Dynamite episode called Big Business.
After walking out of WWE in May 2022 due to creative differences with the company at the time, Mone felt it was time to move on. An injury sidelined her for most of 2023, but when she returned to the ring in 2024, she decided to join AEW rather than return to WWE to continue her legacy as Sasha Banks.
In AEW, Mone has been a dominant force who currently holds four championships while also holding the AEW TBS Championship for over 290 days.
As an AEW wrestler, Mone can wrestle at independent promotions as long as they meet her booking fee and as long as she wants to do it.
It was announced by House of Glory Wrestling on social media that Mone’s opponent at the company’s City of Dreamz event will be former WWE NXT Champion Indi Hartwell.

Indi Hartwell was released by WWE in November 2024 after working there since 2019. Hartwell admitted she didn’t think she would be released since she was on SmackDown regularly as an ally of Candice LeRae at the time she was let go.
Mercedes Mone Is Thinking About Wrestling Ownership
Even though she’s been wrestling on television for over a decade, Mercedes Mone is still very young in pro wrestling at the age of 33 years old.
While speaking about her future recently, Mercedes Mone made it clear that in the future, she wants to own and run a wrestling promotion.
“I always said back in the day that I wanted to be a shareholder and be a part of helping and creating. So yeah, I definitely want to help own a wrestling company one day and be the woman of change and voice of change over there for any wrestling company that wants to have me.”
For now, Mone will continue to defend the TBS Title just like she did at Revolution when she defeated Momo Watanabe to retain her title.
