Mercedes Mone Responds To Ex-AEW Stars Posing With WWE Gold
Mercedes Mone has seemingly responded to four former AEW stars posing with their WWE titles.
Saturday Night’s Main Event proved to be a huge night for former AEW stars in WWE. Cody Rhodes retained his WWE Championship against Drew McIntyre in somewhat controversial circumstances.
Seth Rollins was forced to relinquish the World Heavyweight Title due to injury, leading to a match being made for the vacant championship between Jey Uso and CM Punk. Punk bested Uso to recapture the title that was cruelly taken from him by Rollins at SummerSlam.
Jade Cargill turned heel for the first time in WWE when she turned on WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton. Cargill captured the first singles gold of her WWE career when she beat Stratton for that title.
Those three champions were joined by NXT Champion Ricky Saints, who was not part of the Saturday Night’s Main Event show, for a photo which showed four former AEW stars posing with their gold.

Mercedes Mone Says AEW Is Everywhere
Mercedes Mone has now responded to the photo on social media, where she noted what a lot of people were thinking:
AEW is everywhere
AEW is everywhere 🤑🧨

Many have questioned the wisdom of the photo, given that it put the attention on AEW rather than celebrate the four stars’ achievements in WWE. The photo also shows heels and babyfaces celebrating together, something that happened in WWE in 1996 and caused shockwaves throughout the entire industry.
CM Punk was infamously fired by AEW, where he briefly held the world title. Cody Rhodes was a founding EVP in AEW but famously lost his first shot at the AEW World Championship, ensuring that he’d never get a shot at that title again. Jade Cargill was the TBS Champion for over 500 days in Tony Khan’s company, while Ricky Saints held the FTW and AEW Tag Team Championships.
