Mercedes Mone Says AEW Roster Would Back Shane McMahon Move

Mercedes Mone thinks Shane McMahon could add something to AEW.

In July, it emerged that Shane McMahon had a secret meeting with Tony Khan after a photograph was leaked online.

Prior to the meeting, Tony Khan had distanced himself from suggestions about Shane McMahon appearing in AEW but the door remains open for the man who once called the WWE his family business.

To add to the madness, the Young Bucks then shared a photo with the one-time ‘Boy Wonder.’

Mercedes Mone, who essentially started the speculation by bumping into McMahon at the airport, has now given her take on the situation.

Mercedes Mone Gives Thoughts On Shane McMahon Rumours

Writing in her Mone Mag, the TBS Champion said she’s sure the AEW roster would welcome the arrival of McMahon.

“Seeing Shane’s incredible heart and passion for wrestling makes me think he has a lot of unfinished business,” wrote Mone. “It also makes me think is Shane coming to AEW? I’m here for it, and I’m sure our roster is too.

Regardless, it just seems like Shane belongs in the wrestling business. I admit if he doesn’t come back to wrestling, it will make me sad for him. I know what it’s like to be removed from what you love and how sad it made me. I imagine he feels the same way.”

The speculation around a potential switch to AEW for McMahon has continued to gather pace, with some fans suggesting he could be revealed as part of the ‘new’ Blackpool Combat Club alongside Jon Moxley.
