Why Mercedes Mone Thinks AEW Is The Best Wrestling Company In The World
Mercedes Mone is now part of AEW and the former WWE star has made a bold claim about Tony Khan’s company’s place in the wrestling world.
On the March 13th episode of Dynamite Big Business, Mercedes Mone finally made her AEW debut. The star had been linked with the company for several months and actually signed her contract long before appearing on television.
Mone has not competed for the company as yet but looks to be on a collision course with Willow Nightingale, the woman Mone last competed against back in 2023 in the match where Mercedes Mone suffered a serious injury that has kept her out of action for almost a year.
Mercedes Mone’s Fightback From Injury Makes AEW Debut Even More Special
Speaking to CBS Boston, Mercedes Mone explained why her injury will make her in-ring debut for AEW so much better as she claims to now be part of the best wrestling company in the world:
It’s just going to make everything so much more special. I thought wrestling was going to be taken away from me ten months ago when this has been my dream since I was ten years old. I am looking so forward to getting back into the ring and do exactly what I love.
I can’t wait to show everybody who Mercedes Mone is. I was born to be a wrestler, I was born to do this. There is no quit in me. When the doctor told me this was a career ending injury, I was like, ‘Absolutely not. This is my life and this is my life passion.’ When you have a dream and you have to go after something, you cannot let anybody hold you back or take no for an answer.
I am so ready to go and be All Elite because All Elite is the best wrestling company in the whole world and I can’t wait to throw it down with the women in AEW, but the women all over the world.
