Maven Reveals What It Would Take For Him To Make A WWE Comeback

Former WWE Superstar Maven has addressed the possibility of making a return to the wrestling ring.

Best known for his memorable elimination of The Undertaker during the 2002 Royal Rumble, the 46-year-old reflected on his current outlook in a recent episode of the “Two Man Power Trip of Wrestling Podcast.” Maven, who hasn’t wrestled actively in years, acknowledged that his in-ring career is likely behind him, stating:

At this point in my career, obviously, with being almost 50 years old my wrestling days are over.

Despite his realistic view of returning to full-time wrestling, the former Hardcore Champion hinted that he still sees potential for himself in the entertainment industry in some capacity.

But I still think I can add some sort of value to just the entertainment world.

Maven said, leaving the door open for possible future ventures outside of the ring. While it seems Maven is content with his post-wrestling life, he remains open to the unpredictable nature of the business. He did not entirely rule out a return to WWE or another promotion but clarified that the circumstances would have to be right.

I’ll never say never in this business, but there would have to be a lot of zeros in the equation, and it would have to be the right circumstance.

Maven’s comments suggest that while he isn’t pursuing a comeback, he might be swayed for the right offer—financially and creatively.

Why Did Maven Say He Made The Choice To Go Off-Script During A WWE Match?

Maven spoke about the time he went off-script during a 2003 try-out match against independent wrestler Masada on an episode of Sunday Night Heat. He recalled how Masada attempted to pin him with one foot, which he felt was disrespectful, so Maven then made the decision to deviate from the original match plan and dominate the match until its end.
