Matt Jackson Reveals Why He’ll Miss AEW Dynamite This Week
Matt Jackson won’t be appearing on AEW Dynamite this week, and has let fans in on the reason why.
Nick and Matt Jackson have been embroiled in a bitter rivalry alongside Kenny Omega taking on Death Triangle in a best of seven series. With the scores currently tied at three wins a piece, the final of the series, which will also determine the AEW Trios Championship, will be taking place on the 11th January 2022 edition of Dynamite.
With a break between matches, Jackson has revealed that he won’t be competing in the week’s gap, as he has already made alternative plans.
In a discussion on the most recent edition of Being The Elite, Matt Jackson revealed that he has booked a family holiday after the recent hectic schedule.
I’m taking next week off. I’m not going to be in Seattle, obviously, or the [Tokyo] Dome [for Wrestle Kingdom 17]. I’m taking my family on a vacation, something I’ve been planning for a while. It is a Christmas idea. I’ve earned it. I’m happy.
The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega made their return to AEW at Full Gear, having been originally suspended in the aftermath of the All Out controversy. Unsuccessful in their attempt for the Trios Championships on that occasion, they then entered the best of seven series which is soon to conclude.
Kenny Omega will be in action this week, but not for AEW. He will be challenging Will Ospreay for the IWGP United States Championship at Wrestle Kingdom 17 in Japan.
