Massive Matches Predicted For WWE WrestleMania 42 Main Events
A wrestling pundit has shared his prediction for some of the matches at WWE WrestleMania 42 next year.
The year 2025 is winding down with just over two months left, and for WWE fans, that also means the Royal Rumble is around the corner on January 31st, 2026. The Royal Rumble sets us on the road to a two-night WrestleMania 42 event on April 18 and April 19, 2026, in Las Vegas.
While responding to a fan question on his Notsam Wrestling podcast, radio host and WWE personality Sam Roberts was asked about his winners for the Royal Rumble matches in 2026 and WrestleMania 42 main events.
“Based on what’s happening in front of us, I see my main events of WrestleMania are Cody (Rhodes) versus Randy (Orton)…and Roman Reigns versus…is it Roman versus (CM) Punk? Yeah, Roman versus Punk and Cody versus Randy. Punk will be the champion. I have Randy winning the Rumble. This is right now off the top of my head.
On the women’s side, I have Iyo Sky winning the Rumble. I have Rhea Ripley on the way to WrestleMania, beating Stephanie Vaquer for the Women’s Championship and I have Iyo winning the Rumble, so that you can go to WrestleMania with Rhea versus Iyo.
So I have Cody versus Randy winning the Rumble for the men. I have Rhea versus Iyo with Iyo winning the Women’s Rumble. And I have I think Roman versus Punk…I think. Card subject to change.”
If Randy Orton wins the Royal Rumble again in 2026, it would be his third win in a third different decade, following his victories in 2009 and 2017.
Cody Rhodes And CM Punk Involved In Huge Matches At WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event
The vacant World Heavyweight Championship will be up for grabs on November 1st at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event as the number one contender, CM Punk, faces Jey Uso, who won a battle on Raw this past Monday to earn his spot in the match.
Meanwhile, the Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes will defend the gold against Drew McIntyre at Saturday Night’s Main Event. Rhodes beat McIntyre at Wrestlepalooza last month, but McIntyre has remained a thorn in his side, so they will have another huge match against each other during the next Saturday Night’s Main Event special.
