Mark Henry Talks One Last Match – “It’s In There”

Mark Henry has opened up on the threats he’s made to have one more match, noting that it’s inside him somewhere.

The last time ‘The World’s Strongest Man’ Mark Henry laced up his boots was back in February 2017 when he was still part of WWE. On that night he lost to Braun Strowman and has since moved on to working for AEW, although he’s spent his time at the commentary desk and backstage rather than inside the squared circle.

However, in a discussion 10 Tampa Bay, Henry has admitted that he feels there’s something inside him which would get him back in the ring for one more match, but he’s not entirely certain what that is.

You know, I threaten my son all the time. I say, ‘Listen man, if you do that one more time, part two of my killing spree is gonna start’, and he’ll say, ‘You ain’t gonna do nothing.’ He’s probably right. It’s in there, but I don’t know what it will take to bring it out.

What Roles Does Mark Henry Have?

As well as no doubt being a mentor to many backstage, Mark Henry also has plenty of other responsibilities with AEW including being a special advisor for AEW Together alongside the likes of Paul Wight and Jake ‘The Snake Roberts’. He’s also a coach for the company, although there would no doubt be a desire from some to see him back in the ring rather than just helping others.
