Mark Henry Predicts The Rock Will Become US President
AEW star Mark Henry believes that The Rock will one day become the President of the United States and will be the change America needs.
Before joining AEW as an onscreen talent and coach, Mark Henry spent 25 years in WWE. He originally signed a 10-year contract with the company in 1996, at around the same time as a young Rocky Maivia.
While Henry made his TV debut that April, he struggled to gain much momentum due to suffering several injuries. He finally began to make headway early in 1998 when he joined the Nation of Domination alongside D’Lo Brown, Karma Mustafa, Farooq and The Rock.
Soon after Henry joined the group, The Rock left and began his own rise to the top of the company and megastardom beyond.
However, Mark Henry has revealed that he didn’t expect him to become the huge star that he did, although he did have the right work ethic.
During an interview with Sportskeeda Wrestling, the World’s Strongest Man explained that he had never seen anyone work harder than The Rock before tipping him to become President of the United States.
“No, I can’t say I expected him to become who he became, but I knew that he had the work ethic for it. I’ve never seen anybody work harder than him. And what you see now is going to be minor. I’m calling my shot now. Dwayne Johnson will be president of the United States one day,”
Speculating further on a potential political career for The People’s Champion, Henry said he would inspire change in America.
“Not only will he be president, but he will be the change in America that everybody needs. And when he starts running for office…I’ve never been involved in politics in my life. When he decides to become a politician, I will do everything I can to support him – Democrat, Republican, Independent, I don’t care because I know he’ll do the right thing.”
