The King & Queen of the Ring tournaments have become a lot clearer following SmackDown as several top WWE stars progressed.

SmackDown in Wilkes-Barre saw the blue brand’s side of the King of the Ring bracket get underway with three huge matchups. Carmelo Hayes picked up a win over Baron Corbin in a battle of the recent NXT stars while Tama Tonga advanced at the expense of Angelo Dawkins. Tonga will now face the winner of the bout between LA Knight and Santos Escobar.

In the night’s main event, Carmelo Hayes found out his quarter-final opponent in a battle of former WWE Champions as Randy Orton defeated AJ Styles.

Tag Team Battle Awaits Two WWE Stars?

In the Queen of the Ring tournament, Nia Jax beat Naomi to move on to a huge clash in the quarter-finals as she will now face Jade Cargill who defeated Piper Niven to progress. Bianca Belair overcame Candice LeRae to move on where she will face the winner of the bout between Tiffany Stratton and Michin.

Interestingly, should both the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions be successful, Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair will be forced to face each other for the chance to meet Raw’s finalist for the crown in Saudi Arabia.

WWE revealed several first-round matches will take place on house shows and the reason WWE won’t televise every match in the tournaments has seemingly been revealed.
