Major Update On Tommaso Ciampa’s Return To WWE Raw

According to a new report, Tommaso Ciampa will be making his long-awaited return to WWE Raw.

Tommaso Ciampa hasn’t wrestled on WWE television since August, and his last match took place on a September 17th live event where he failed to capture the United States Championship from Bobby Lashley. Shortly thereafter, the star underwent surgery on his hip, taking him out of action for months as he recovered.

Back in March, he took to social media to update fans on his progress, saying he’d completed his stem cell treatments. Ciampa wrote the following:

Today was my final stem cell treatment.

They have this awesome tradition at @bioxcellerator where you write what you are hoping to achieve on your stem cell bag.

I wrote “dance with buddies” which is Willow’s term for wrestling, and “play tag” because it breaks my heart that I can’t run and play with my 4 year old.

The star’s return was teased as far back as the May 8th episode of WWE Raw, which saw Indi Hartwell, Johnny Gargano, and Candice LeRae together in a backstage segment. Gargano teased that “he” would be returning soon, something that didn’t seem to thrill LeRae. On May 29th, it was reported that Ciampa was backstage during Raw and that he was expected to return “soon.”

Now, a new report from PWInsider Elite confirms that Ciampa is scheduled to return tonight on the June 19th episode of Raw. There is no word on what creative plans are for the star, but it’s likely he’ll be interacting with The Way in some capacity.
