Major Update On AEW Star Adam Cole
Adam Cole is finally nearing an in-ring return.
At AEW Grand Slam 2023, Adam Cole suffered a broken ankle while attempting to help MJF in his World Title match against Samoa Joe. During the run-in, Cole jumped from the raised ramp to the floor, getting injured in the process.
Cole remained on television for much of the rest of the year, eventually being revealed as The Devil who had been targeting MJF.
After a break, Cole returned to AEW television at Double or Nothing where he was attacked by MJF, who was making his own return from injury. MJF destroyed Cole in short order and he hasn’t been seen since. However, it seems the leader of the Undisputed Kingdom is finally getting closer to wrestling again.
Writing in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer confirmed Cole is closing in on a return to the ring.
Regarding Adam Cole, because of the complexity of the injury there’s still a little time left out of action but he hopes it’s not much longer. He is able to walk now, so he’s on the way back.
Adam Cole’s Partner Britt Baker Returns
It’s been a big week for the former Ring of Honor and WWE star after his real-life partner Britt Baker made a sensational return to AEW at Forbidden Door.
Baker had been absent since September 2023 but made a surprise comeback to confront Mercedes Mone in the minutes after her win over Stephanie Vaquer. The two women then came face to face again just days later on Dynamite after Baker revealed she had been sidelined by a significant back injury before suffering a transient ischemic attack.
The segment ended with Baker challenging Mone to a match at All In.
