Major Update On Adam Page After Fears Over Broken Ankle
There’s been some positive news on Adam Page.
At AEW Revolution, Hangman Adam Page is set to meet Swerve Strickland and Samoa Joe in a huge Three-Way Match for the AEW World Championship. Page and Strickland have been at war for months, and a number one contenders match between the pair went to a time-limit draw.
However, following the February 21st episode of Dynamite, there were fears that Adam Page would need to be pulled from the match after suffering a broken ankle.
In the main event of the show, Page teamed with HOOK and Rob Van Dam to take on Samoa Joe, Swerve Strickland, and Brian Cage. But after falling awkwardly to the outside, Page was shown clutching his ankle and later limped backstage.
Despite this, it’s been reported by Fightful Select that the injury was just an angle, and Page was fine once he got away from the cameras. One talent quipped that Page was simply “good at his job.”
When Was Adam Page World Champion?
It’s been a long road back to World Title contention for Adam Page who battled to the top of the AEW mountain for the first and to date only time at Full Gear in 2021 defeating Kenny Omega.
Hangman made several high-profile defences against the likes of Adam Cole and Bryan Danielson before eventually being beaten by CM Punk at Double or Nothing in May 2022.
