Major Dynamite Hint Points To CM Punk’s AEW Return

CM Punk

CM Punk has been the elephant in AEW’s room since the events following All Out in 2022 but for those paying attention to Dynamite, the signs are looking like his return is imminent.

Dynamite in Detroit was a night full of surprises with former champions Miro and Thunder Rosa both making their return to the show as they apparently met with Tony Khan to discuss their future plans in the company.

Tony Khan appeared on the show to promise a huge announcement for AEW next Wednesday. That announcement is believed to be the addition of a Saturday night show named Collision which is likely to debut in June. Although that is not likely to be announced on Dynamite itself but rather at the Warner Bros Discovery upfronts which will take place on the same day – May 17th.

However, Khan noted that the announcement will be followed up on on Dynamite and that could see the company announce the return of CM Punk who is believed to be the centerpiece of Collision when it begins.

It is also noteworthy that MJF did something that hadn’t been done since All Out in 2022 and mentioned CM Punk’s name on Dynamite as he ran down his successes in the company.

While the company might look to repeat the success of CM Punk’s AEW debut where he wasn’t announced but it was an open secret that he’d be appearing, with a new show to build up it’s more likely this time around that Punk’s return will be advertised.
