Major Heel Turn On AEW Rampage (SPOILERS)
There was a huge heel turn on AEW Rampage in Chicago with a long-time member of the roster turning their back on their team.
AEW fans were shocked at Full Gear when William Regal turned his back on Jon Moxley and handed MJF his famed brass knuckles to allow The Salt of the Earth to knock out Moxley and win the AEW World Championship for the very first time.
On Dynamite in Chicago, Moxley looked to confront Regal about his treachery but was stopped by fellow Blackpool Combat Club member Bryan Danielson who still holds Regal in high regard. In the end, Moxley, who was shaking with anger, told Regal to run and never show his face again in the company.
The fans in attendance for the show in Chicago were subjected to another act of treachery on the Rampage show that was taped following Dynamite. Rampage will air on Friday, the 25th of November so if you want to avoid what happened, check out why those close to CM Punk are said to be “not happy” about certain events on Dynamite.
The main event of Rampage saw RUSH, The Butcher, and The Blade take on Dark Order’s 10, Alex Reynolds, and John Silver in a six-man tag team match. Dark Order was at a disadvantage to begin with as 10 was not present to start the match.
10 eventually did make his way out to the ring but he turned on John Silver, allowing Silver to be pinned by RUSH. 10 also attacked Evil Uno, tearing off his mask before driving Alex Reynolds through a table. The final insult came when he dropped his own mask at the feet of an upset Negative 1, the son of the original Dark Order leader, Brodie Lee.
