Major AEW Star Barely Escaped Serious Injury After “Stupid” Botch
AEW’s Adam Cole and injuries have had a strong relationship, much to the dismay of wrestling fans.
Cole’s in-ring talent, mic skills, and charismatic persona are some of the reasons behind his popularity. He has consistently applied the same discipline across various promotions, earning the respect of his peers.
However, his frequent absences have hindered his run in AEW.
Cole made his first appearance for the company in September 2021, promising more high-flying action, combined with exciting rivalries.
Instead, the former WWE NXT Champion has endured multiple injuries, including a tear to his labrum, several concussions, and an ankle injury.
And if they weren’t enough, the recent episode of Dynamite saw Kyle Fletcher botching a powerbomb on Cole, with the latter’s head colliding with the ring apron.
As per the latest reports, the company heads are furious with Fletcher.
Stevie Richards Breaks Down AEW Star’s Latest Injury
As he usually does, former WWE wrestler Stevie Richards broke down the botch that involved Adam Cole on his YouTube account, playing the video frame by frame.
Richards recalled hitting the same part of the ring during a match, sustaining a knee injury that required surgery, keeping him out of action.
Why are you doing this to a guy that’s had a concussion history that took him out for a year? Tone-deaf, lack of any awareness right off the bat. It’s so stupid. I don’t get this. We talked about the Chad Gable thing. This is even more egregious in a way because you know about his history.
Richards then highlighted the importance of wrestlers protecting each other, calling it a “stupid bump,” and a lack thereof could result in someone ending up seriously hurt or even killed.
