A big-name AEW star wants to improve their promos.

Since moving to the United States to join AEW, Will Ospreay has opened up about living with autism, dyslexia, and ADHD. This included revealing he needed someone to read his AEW contract to him before he was able to sign it.

Ospreay has received a great deal of praise for his openness and he’s become a role model for kids with learning difficulties around the world.

During a new interview with the New York Post, Ospreay admitted he still struggles with promos, something he didn’t have to regularly deal with in Japan.

“I still very much struggle with it,

I can barely speak English basically,” Ospreay said. “It’s been a learning experience, but I feel like I’m not sucking at it. I think I’m doing OK. I think I’m getting by. I feel like it’s good to show people that I am learning these tricks and these trades.

I’m happy to be vulnerable and open in those moments and say, ‘Look, I know I’m not the best at this.’ I’ve never been trained to do this. I’ve never been trained to do this part of the job. They’re throwing me in the deep water and I’m swimming somehow.”

Nigel McGuinness also gave his thoughts on Ospreay, praising him for his approach to promos and how he remains authentic and genuine. The wrestler-turned-commentator went on to compare Ospreay to Bryan Danielson.

Will Ospreay Comments On AEW Controversy

During the same interview, Will Ospreay gave his thoughts on the backstage spat between Britt Baker, MJF, and Alicia Atout.

While admitting he wasn’t exactly sure what had been reported, he said the incident had been way overblown.

Britt Baker was recently fined and suspended following the incident where it’s claimed she was venting her frustration about MJF. It was later reported that Baker called Atout — MJF’s partner, a “stupid f*cking b*tch,” and a frustrated MJF punched a wall.
