Major AEW Name’s Surprising Reaction To AJ Lee’s WWE Return
The buzz surrounding AJ Lee’s return to WWE continues to gain traction.
In the midst of all the excitement, an AEW name has showered praise on the former Divas Champion and are expecting her to exceed expectations in her second run with the Stamford promotion.
WWE legend and AEW commentator Jim Ross expressed excitement about AJ Lee’s potential return to wrestling after a decade during a recent episode of his Grilling JR podcast.
Yeah, I was a fan of her work. I thought she did a great job, she was always in good shape. She learned well.
It’s not a new star, but a star that has certainly built up anticipation for her return and she’s got [access] to that brain of CM Punk, which is a good thing. Any star that has name identity, and she has name identity.
She’s a unique character, unique facial expressions. She’s athletic. I’m honestly a little bit surprised that she’s jumping back in the game, but not totally, I’m not shocked. It makes sense to me.
I wish her well. Good girl, pleasant. I’m pulling for her, I hope she does a great job. It never hurts for the business to get back somebody that was a great star. We’ll see where it takes us, I’m pulling for her. Anything new and significant is a good thing for pro wrestling. [H/T: Fightful]
