Logan Paul Eyes Up WWE Championship Gold

Logan Paul

Logan Paul isn’t going anywhere as far as the wrestling world is concerned as the YouTube star recently signed a new deal with the company.

The controversial YouTube star has proved a hit in WWE since first competing in the ring at WrestleMania 38 when he teamed with The Miz to defeat The Mysterios. Following that match, Miz turned on his partner which led to a one-on-one bout at SummerSlam which Paul won.

Paul’s following helped him to be catapulted into the main event scene when he challenged Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia where he picked up his first loss.

Logan Paul was a surprise entrant in the men’s 2023 Royal Rumble where he eliminated Seth Rollins, leading to the issues that saw those two men face off in a memorable match at WrestleMania 39. Paul pulled out everything from his bag of tricks – including having business partner KSI dressed as a blue bottle of Prime at ringside – but Rollins came out on top.

Speaking to ESPN, Logan Paul explained that this new contract means he can focus on his ultimate ambition in WWE, winning championship gold:

“It’s hard to do that when you don’t have a long contract with a piece of talent or you’re talking about putting a guy over who may not be there next year. The idea with this multiyear contract was to get really creative around the story that we’re telling as my professional wrestling career unfolds. Being the hyper-ambitious person that I am, I’m going for a belt.

“I wouldn’t have signed this contract if I didn’t think that I was capable of getting a WWE belt. I think it’d be the coolest thing ever. I’d love to have it on my résumé, and I’d love to show every kid around the world who watches WWE that you can achieve anything.”

It seems like Logan Paul has big things planned for his WWE career, just don’t let Vince McMahon hear him call the championships “a belt” again.
