Update On Location For WWE King & Queen Of The Ring PLE Event
A new report has revealed where WWE plans on holding their King & Queen of the Ring tournament this coming May.
Earlier this week, in a report credited to Wrestlenomics, it was announced that WWE is going to run two Premium Live Events in the month of May:
- Backlash will take place on May 6th.
- King & Queen of the Ring will take place on May 27th.
It has since been reported by PWInsider Elite that King & Queen of the Ring will take place in Saudi Arabia. In 2018, WWE signed a ten-year-deal with the Saudi Arabian General Authority for Entertainment. Since then, WWE started doing two shows per year in Saudi Arabia. One of those shows takes place in the first half of the year and the second show in the second half of the year.
The last time that WWE held a King of the Ring tournament was at Crown Jewel 2021, which was also in Saudi Arabia. Xavier Woods was the winner of that tournament.
Crown Jewel 2021 also saw WWE hold the first-ever Queen’s Crown tournament with Zelina Vega as the winner of that.
The upcoming WWE Premium Live Event schedule looks like this.
* April 1 & 2 – WrestleMania 39 in Los Angeles.
* May 6 – Backlash
* May 27 – King & Queen of the Ring in Saudi Arabia.
* July 1 – Money in the Bank in London, England.
* August 5 – SummerSlam in Detroit.
The location for Backlash has yet to be announced. WWE has yet to formally announce Backlash and King & Queen of the Ring on their PLE schedule.
