Liv Morgan Dealing With New Injury
Liv Morgan looks like she could be back on the shelf one month after returning to action following a shoulder injury that caused her to have to relinquish the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship.
It was back on May 12th that Liv Morgan suffered an injury that led to her and Raquel Rodriguez being forced to give up the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship. Given WWE’s decision to vacate the gold, many believed Morgan’s injury to be one that would keep her out for some time but she was back in the ring in late June.
Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez reclaimed their title at Money In The Bank when Shayna Baszler turned on long-time friend Ronda Rousey but their second reign proved to end prematurely as well.
Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley cost them their match with Chelsea Green and Sonya Deville on the 17th of July leading to new champions being crowned.
On Raw in Tampa, Liv Morgan sought revenge and was scheduled to face Ripley in a one-on-one match. However, Rhea Ripley had other ideas as she lived up to her nickname of Judgment Day’s eradicator by attacking Morgan during her entrance before “Pillmanizing” her arm with a steel chair. The assault looked to be a way to write Liv Morgan off TV once again.
Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez discussed Morgan’s new injury problems and it seems that it’s now the star’s other shoulder giving her problems:
“[Meltzer] It was pretty clear. I mean, they don’t do an angle like that, that was a real hardcore angle. Obviously, she’s had the shoulder injury, so I don’t know if it.
[Alvarez] My understanding is that it is the other shoulder.
[Meltzer] Ok, it was the left shoulder they hurt. [Alvarez] It was the left one they hurt in storyline, but whichever one she hurt last time, I think she actually hurt the other one this time.”
Liv Morgan is not the only WWE star who appeared on Raw dealing with an injury as Kevin Owens appears to have been suffering for some time as well.
