“Less Than Hard Line” Drawn Regarding Potential WWE Return For Brock Lesnar

Brock Lesnar could yet return to WWE.

In January, Brock Lesnar was implicated in a lawsuit brought against Vince McMahon, John Laurinaitis, and WWE. The details contained within the lawsuit led many to believe that Lesnar’s WWE career would be over, however, it seems that might not be the case.

In the lawsuit, former WWE employee Janel Grant alleged that McMahon had offered her sexual services to an unnamed former UFC Champion and WWE star — believed to be Lesnar. The star in question is yet to comment on the claims, and McMahon has strongly denied any wrongdoing.

Meanwhile, on March 12th, it was reported that “inquiries have been made” regarding Brock Lesnar within WWE. What this means in real terms remains unclear, but it does seem to hint that he could yet have a way back onto WWE television.

Writing in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer said he was told of something off the record that showed a “less than hard line” had been drawn under Lesnar.

There was something behind the scenes this week that was done, the details of which were told to us off the record, that indicated a less hard line about Lesnar, whose plans, which included an IC title match with Gunther at WrestleMania after a Royal Rumble return, were dropped when the lawsuit went public.

However, one company source said that there was no movement at all right now to bring Lesnar back as a performer.

Brock Lesnar Cut From WWE Plans

Following the lawsuit from Grant going public Brock Lesnar’s planned appearance at the Royal Rumble was scrapped. There had also been plans for the star to feature at Elimination Chamber and WrestleMania 40 in a huge match against Gunther, but these were also dropped.

Lesnar hasn’t wrestled since being defeated by Cody Rhodes at SummerSlam.
