“Rusev Day Will Never Die” – Lana Predicts Miro Will Return To WWE

Former WWE star Lana has hinted that her husband, AEW star Miro, could return to WWE someday saying that “everyone always returns” to the company.

Known in WWE as Rusev, the Bulgarian star found success on the main roster, competing in a high-profile WrestleMania bout with John Cena as well as capturing the United States Championship on three occasions. As a part of swingeing cuts made to its roster beginning in 2020, Rusev was released by the company in April of that year.

Five months later, the star debuted in AEW as Miro and has had a rather stop-start run of things despite capturing the TNT Championship for a spell. Miro has only competed in 29 matches since joining the company over two years ago and has only wrestled four times in 2022 with three of those matches coming in June.

Speaking to Mike Wennmacher from 92.7 WMAY, Lana [CJ Perry], Miro’s wife, gave her assertion that one day everyone returns to WWE and that Rusev Day could rise again in the company in the future:

“Well, you know, it so happens that the Redeemer is fighting on some battlefields against a couple of Gods. Rusev Day will never die. It’s always going to be around, the kids are going to want to sing it and I’m sure it will make a return in WWE at some point.”

“Rusev — well, whatever he shows [up] back in; whatever frickin name or gimmick or character he returns [as] at some point, in WWE is going to be iconic. You know, he, that’s the great thing about wrestling is it doesn’t matter what company you work for, what promotion, anything can happen. Let’s be honest, we know that everyone always returns back to WWE at some point.”
