LA Knight Tabbed As Future WWE World Champion

LA Knight

LA Knight has impressed a former critic so much that a Hall of Famer who once criticized Knight believes that LA should be a World Champion in WWE.

The rise of LA Knight over the last three years has been interesting to see. After Vince McMahon made him a mouthpiece for the Maximum Male Models group (remember Max Dupri?) in the summer of 2022, Triple H took over as WWE’s Chief Content Officer, and LA Knight was reborn.

In the three years since then, Knight has been a two-time United States Champion who has also main evented PLE shows and challenged for the WWE Championship on multiple occasions.

There was also a time when two-time WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash was a vocal critic of the former US Champion, but LA Knight was told by Nash’s friends not to listen to him, and eventually, the Knight-Nash beef was squashed.

LA Knight spoke with Kevin Nash at SummerSlam 2024, and, according to Knight, everything was fine between them.

“It’s funny because he came up while I was sitting in catering, talking to a couple of guys, and he came up, and I felt this hand on my back, and he said hello and we talked for a minute. He was asking about the match, and everything was cool and hunky dory.

I am a mirror in a lot of ways – I give back whatever I receive. We could talk trash, and whatever he says on the podcast or what I say here and there, it could go either way. If he had come in talking, you know, craziness or whatever, I’d have probably responded in that regard. But he was a sweetheart, and I was a sweetheart right back.”

Kevin Nash Believes LA Knight Could Be A Future WWE World Champion

It appears that Kevin Nash has become a fan of LA Knight, based on recent comments by Nash on his Kliq This podcast. Nash referenced his past issues with Knight while remarking that he thinks Knight could be a World Champion in WWE, just like Nash was. Nash also praised Knight for being in great shape.

“I’ll tell you what. We gave him a lot of s**t early in this show, that he was a copycat and everything else, and I really appreciate him. He’s a f**king solid hand. The people like him. He would definitely be on my list of guys to give a run to, to give a world (title) run to.

The only problem is, he’s a babyface… his work’s always been solid… I was just gonna say also, that f**ker stays in f**king really good shape.”

Over the last few weeks, LA Knight has been feuding with Seth Rollins and his group, which includes Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed. The duo of Breakker and Reed attacked Knight on SmackDown, which led to Breakker hitting Knight with a Spear and Reed performing the Tsunami splash on Knight multiple times, resulting in Knight being hospitalized.

A matchup between Knight and Rollins, who is a top heel in WWE, seems likely at some point soon.
