With a Hall of Fame career, Kurt Angle took on the very best of WWE including Steve Austin, The Rock, Triple H, The Undertaker, and Hulk Hogan.

But now, the former King Of The Ring Winner has shared his two favorite rivalries and why they meant so much.

Kurt Angle joined WWE in 1998, after winning Gold at the 1996 Olympics for Freestyle Wrestling. Angle started his WWE career with huge success lifting both the European and Intercontinental Championships.

After feuds with Chris Jericho, Triple H, and Rikishi, Angle faced off against The Rock and became WWE Champion for the first time at No Mercy 2000.

Throughout his career in WWE, Angle balanced his in-ring physicality with memorable comedic promos. Feuds with Shane McMahon, Eddie Guerrero, The Undertaker, and John Cena were followed by a memorable rivalry with Shawn Michaels which included a battle at WrestleMania 21.

With a who’s who of Superstars to pick from, Kurt Angle has chosen his two favorite storylines.

The Olympic Hero was speaking on his The Kurt Angle Show podcast and was quick to praise a current WWE Superstar for his athletic ability.

“To be honest with you, it was my second favourite program, my first was with Stone Cold. But I really loved the angle that I had with Brock Lesnar, the program. You know, Brock is an incredible athlete. What he has been able to do in every sport that he plays, he is literally the best at everything that he does.

Brock is so talented that if he joined the NBA right now, he’d probably make it. What he’s done, he went from the WWE to the NFL, and he would have made it if he spent another year there. But then he decided to quit, and then he went to MMA and became UFC Champion.

Then he comes back to WWE, and becomes WWE Champion. I mean that kid is so talented, it doesn’t matter what he touches, whatever he touches is going to turn to gold, that’s how talented he is.”

Brock Lesnar won the 2003 Royal Rumble and challenged Kurt Angle for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania XIX with Lesnar winning that match.

Angle needed time off to recover from injury but would return in the summer of 2003 to continue the feud, defeating both Lesnar and The Big Show at Vengeance to reclaim the WWE Championship. Despite his fondness for Lesnar, Kurt Angle has called Brock Lesnar “an idiot” for how he left WWE.

Brock Lesnar is locked in a feud with Cody Rhodes after attacking The American Nightmare on Raw the night after WrestleMania 39. Rhodes secured a win over Lesnar at Backlash, but had his arm broken by The Beast ahead of Night of Champions.
