Kurt Angle Reflects On Joining DX

Kurt Angle

Kurt Angle has opened up on how special the moment was when he became an honorary member of DX for the evening.

The 23rd January 2023 edition of Monday Night Raw was a celebration of the stars past and present who had been involved with the red brand over the last three decades. However, many were left confused when D-Generation X had an additional member when they came out, and it wasn’t quite Billy Gunn!

The combination of Triple H, Shawn Michaels, The Road Dogg and X-Pac were joined by Kurt Angle, which led to plenty of humorous moments before the Olympic gold medalist was appointed special guest referee for a six-man tag team match where The Street Profits and Seth Rollins defeated Imperium.

In a discussion on Raw Talk, Kurt Angle has explained why his moment with DX was “the coolest thing in the world”.

I had a lot of fun. Being able to hang out with DX, being able an honorary member was the coolest thing in the world. My whole entire career, I’ve been kind of the nerd and the dork. To go out there with those guys was really cool. I had such a blast. Being able to ref the match, it was a lot of fun tonight. The Raw 30th [anniversary show], I’ll remember this forever.

Kurt Angle went on to show his gratitude for the career he was able to have with WWE, especially given his extensive time on Monday Night Raw over the years.

That is a lot of content my friend [laughs]. I’m very proud to be a part of a lot of it. Having my career in WWE, I’m so happy to be able to utilize my talents here, and I’m so grateful that the company picked me up at that particular time.

Kurt Angle also recently opened up on what the most painful bump of his career was.
