Konnan Opens Up On Relationship With Mike Santana After TNA Reunion

Konnan has opened up about the issues surrounding himself and Mike Santana after their recent reunion in TNA.

At Bound For Glory, Mike Santana captured the TNA World Championship from Trick Williams to bring the gold back home to the promotion. On his way to the ring, Santana sought out Mexican wrestling legend and his former LAX partner Konnan.

That brought together the two men after some uncertainty over the status of their relationship following Santana’s very public falling out with his old tag team partner, Ortiz.

Mike Santana Set His Sights On A Singles Run

Speaking on his Keepin’ It 100 podcast, Konnan discussed how his reunion with Santana came to be and says the two men were never estranged:

There was no estrangement. Santana knows how I am, I’m very opinionated, anybody that knows me knows I am. I just told him, ‘I thought what happened with you and Ortiz was f**ked up, and I thought you were the reason,’ and he accepted it, no lies told.

But I think Santana’s made up his mind, he wants to go solo and be a star by himself, and he’s not gonna team up with Ortiz. He might do a one night only thing, but I can’t see them going back together because he’s probably gonna be the face of the company now.

That (a storyline and feud between Santana and Ortiz in TNA) would not be a bad idea.
