Kevin Owens Comments On Stephanie McMahon’s WWE Exit
Kevin Owens has given his thoughts on Stephanie McMahon’s WWE departure as well as how she was to deal with.
It’s been a very interesting first month of 2023 for WWE thanks to Vince McMahon re-inserting himself into the company after retiring last July. Vince is back in WWE as the Executive Chairman with an intent to sell the company while his daughter Stephanie McMahon is no longer working there.
On January 10th, Stephanie McMahon announced she was resigning from WWE as the Chairwoman and Co-CEO. The other former Co-CEO Nick Khan is now the solo CEO of WWE.
Since Stephanie’s WWE exit, a lot of people within the company have been asked about it. That includes Kevin Owens, who is a main event-level performer that has worked for WWE for nearly a decade.
During an interview with the San Antonio Express-News, Kevin Owens talked about how Stephanie has always been good to him while also being happy for her taking time for herself.
“(Stephanie) has been nothing but amazing to me my entire time here. And I was so happy to see her more at the shows and get to be around her and get to work for her. Everybody’s also kind of happy that she gets to take this time for herself.”
While Stephanie is away from WWE, she recently had ankle surgery and is a mother of three daughters along with her husband, WWE’s Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque.
Owens was also asked about the potential WWE sale while making it clear that he is focused on what he does as a WWE superstar.
“The internet will say what the internet will say, and then the reality will be what really matters. We just care about what we do in the ring. That’s what we try to do our best at.”
At Saturday’s Royal Rumble Premium Live Event in San Antonio, Owens will have one of the biggest matches of his WWE career as he challenged Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.
