Kevin Owens Coming To NXT

Former Universal Champion Kevin Owens has teased a return to his WWE roots by suggesting that he might well be part of NXT.

The 18th of October edition of NXT looks set to be a big night for the brand as the ‘Wednesday Night Wars’ against AEW Dynamite will be revived for one week only on a Tuesday night.

Reports have suggested that WWE is going all out to promote their show and is “determined” to defeat AEW in the ratings, with AEW’s flagship show moving from its usual Wednesday night slot.

NXT has stacked its show with plenty of main roster talent in an attempt to win the night. Raquel Rodriguez and Rhea Ripley will return to the developmental brand to take on Cora Jade and Roxanne Perez respectively. Sonya Deville will face Scottish star Alba Fyre and The OC will be in attendance as Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows join Cameron Grimes to face The Schism. “Stacks” Lorenzo will also be in action against an opponent picked by Tony D’Angelo.

Now it looks like the night will be even more star-studded with Kevin Owens taking to social media to confirm that he will be on the show and will be moderating a showdown between Bron Breakker, Ilja Dragunov, and JD McDonagh ahead of their NXT Title match at Halloween Havoc.

Kevin Owens joined WWE as part of the NXT brand, winning the NXT Championship in 2015 from Sami Zayn before later that year making his main roster debut while still champion as he took the fight to John Cena.
