Kevin Nash Names WWE Star Ready For Main Event Role
Kevin Nash believes Karrion Kross is ready for the main event.
Kross joined WWE in 2020 alongside Scarlett and went on to find success in NXT, where he made an impact with big wins over the likes of Finn Balor and Tommaso Ciampa, and went on to become a two-time NXT Champion.
However, Karrion Kross’s 2021 move to the main roster was disastrous. The star was brought up without Scarlett, and fans widely ridiculed a change in his image. To make things worse, the star lost his Raw debut match to Jeff Hardy in less than two minutes. Things didn’t improve for Kross over the following months, and he and Scarlett were released from their contracts that November.
In August 2022, Triple H brought the pair back to WWE and Kross went into feuds with Drew McIntyre and AJ Styles. In 2023, Kross formed The Final Testament with the Authors of Pain and Paul Ellering and the faction has helped him find more success.
One person who has taken notice of the star is WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash. On his Kliq This podcast, Nash said he had been waiting for WWE to pull the trigger on Kross.
“I think there’s been a couple of times I thought that they were going to do something with him and they didn’t.”
When it comes to the main event scene, Nash thinks Kross is “definitely ready.”
“No, he’s definitely ready.”
Paul Ellering Helps Karrion Kross To Big WWE Win
Despite specualtion that he was leaving the company, Paul Ellering returned to Raw to help Karrion Kross to victory. The Hall of Famer gave a key assist to Kross by throwing powder into Uncle Howdy’s eyes as the two men fought, this allowed Kross to hit the Final Prayer to hand Howdy his first loss since the character emerged.
