Kevin Nash Thinks Adam Copeland Can “Stop Some Bad Habits” In AEW
Kevin Nash hopes Adam Copeland can improve other AEW star’s work in the ring.
The man known for decades as Edge in WWE shocked the wrestling world when he made his debut for AEW at the end of WrestleDream. Copeland came face-to-face with his old friend Christian Cage and looked set to join Cage, Luchasaurus, and Nick Wayne in their attack on Darby Allin and Sting before he turned a steel chair on Luchasaurus and Wayne while Cage slithered away.
Copeland has since revealed that he joined AEW to finish his career the same way he started, with Cage by his side. But the TNT Champion was pretty emphatic with his response to his old friend that that scenario wouldn’t be happening any time soon.
Kevin Nash wants Adam Copeland to help ring psychology in AEW
Speaking on his Kliq This podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash addressed Adam Copeland joining AEW and said he wants to see The Rated R Superstar help get some stars in the company out of what he thinks are bad habits in the ring:
“I pray that Edge doesn’t get hurt, but he’s a great addition. Their style is so different than the WWE’s style, it’s kind of more of an indie-riffic. I think by bringing in somebody like Edge, he has always worked a main event style, he’s been at the top of the WWE for a very long time.
“I think you put him with some of the younger guys and stop some of the bad habits that the other guys have and use a little bit more psychology and better storytelling.”
Another WWE Hall of Famer, Booker T, also gave his thoughts on Copeland crossing wrestling’s divide and admitted he can’t be mad at him for doing so.
