Kenny Omega’s AEW Tease Returned With Gruesome Act

Kenny Omega

Kenny Omega could be edging closer to a return to AEW as The Elite left a disgusting birthday present for the star on Dynamite.

Kenny Omega has not been in action since December 2023 after being diagnosed with diverticulitis and having to undergo surgery to remove part of his intestines. Omega was back on AEW TV in May 2024 where he was brutally attacked by the new-look Elite as The Young Bucks, Jack Perry, and Kazuchika Okada firmly distanced themselves from him.

Now on Dynamite in San Jose, The Elite had a message for Kenny Omega on his birthday as they presented a cake for him backstage. However, the gesture was somewhat ruined when Jack Perry poured a bucket of intestines over the top of it as Kazuchika Okada told his old rival “Happy birthday bitch.” Perry rounded things off by telling Omega “Get well soon Kenny…or die, I really don’t care.”

When Will Kenny Omega Return To AEW?

Omega’s long-time tag team partner Kota Ibushi recently gave the latest update on Omega’s condition as he put a new timeframe on a possible return for the former AEW World Champion while appearing on Yuji Nagata’s YouTube channel.

Ibushi noted that “it’s going to take about two to three more months” before Kenny Omega can return to the ring. That timeframe means it’s possible Omega could be back in an AEW ring before the end of 2024 and it could mean he’s also available to take part in NJPW’s Wrestle Kingdom on January 4th if needed or the cross-promoted Wrestle Dynasty on January 5th – a show that The Young Bucks will be part of.
