Kenny Omega Reacts To The Usos Being Named PWI’s Top Tag Team, Sami Zayn Responds

Kenny Omega has reacted with positivity towards The Usos being ranked the number one tag team in pro wrestling in 2022.

The Usos are the longest reigning WWE Tag Team Champions of all time after recently passing a record held by The New Day. They have been the Smackdown Tag Team Champions since July 2021 when they won the titles at Money in the Bank.

On the May 20th edition of SmackDown, The Usos became the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions when they beat former Raw Tag Team Champions RK-Br0 (Randy Orton & Matt Riddle) to unify the titles.

Recently, Pro Wrestling Illustrated revealed their rankings for the Top 100 tag teams in pro wrestling in 2022. The Usos were at the top of the list.

After seeing some complaints about the list, The Usos commented on Twitter: “A lot of Salty ass tag teams out there huh??…#WeTheOnes”

The top 10 of the listings can be found below:

  1. Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions The Usos (Jimmy Uso, Jey Uso)
  2. AAA, IWGP, ROH World Tag Team Champions FTR (Cash Wheeler, Dax Harwood)
  3. The Briscoe Brothers (Jay Briscoe, Mark Briscoe)
  4. AEW World Trios Champions Death Triangle (Rey Fenix, Penta El Zero M)
  5. Fukuoka Double Crazy (Hazuki, Koguma)
  6. RK-Bro (Matt Riddle, Randy Orton)
  7. The Good Brothers (Luke Gallows, Karl Anderson)
  8. The Young Bucks (Matt Jackson, Nick Jackson)
  9. The Hex (Allysin Kay, Marti Belle)

As you can see above, it’s a mix of WWE teams along with some AEW teams and even The Briscoe Brothers, who are in AEW-owned Ring of Honor, which doesn’t even have a TV show.

Former AEW World Champion Kenny Omega reacted favorably to The Usos being in the top spot even though he’s part of The Elite trios team along with The Young Bucks. Omega also gave a shoutout to Sami Zayn, who is part of The Bloodline group with The Usos in WWE.

“Well earned! I’m sure pizza tonight is on fellow family member @SamiZayn ! Congrats!”

Sami Zayn responded to Kenny Omega as well.

The Usos will defend their WWE Tag Team Titles for the second time this week when they face Sheamus & Butch this Friday on Smackdown. The Usos already beat Matt Riddle & Kevin Owens this past Monday on Raw.
